Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ Week 5 ~10 February 2013

Hi everyone!

It’s Sunday again! That means time for another Nail Polish Lottery club post.

This week’s NPL club number was 6. Finally! A single digit number, so I don’t have to add anything up. Number 6 on my list was OPI – Your palapa or mine.

I had this polish for a while, and for some reason couldn’t bring myself to wear it. I bought it for two reasons: the name is funny and it is green.

Your palapa or mine is a beautiful spring green, not too much in your face green, even suitable for the office. Better let the images do the talking:

This week’s shout out goes to the second person to join our club.

It was Lindsay from Turning the Pages. She has both a Youtube channel and a blog with that name. Both her blog and channel are worth checking out: she does lots of reviews, tags, tutorials, and even giveaways.

You must see her nail polish collection, it is amazing:

Let me know how your week was, and what nail polish you’re wearing now.

Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ 3 February 2013

Hi everyone!

It’s time for week 4 of the Nail Polish Lottery Club.

This week’s NPL club number was 48. I don’t own 48 unused nail polishes so I used number 4+8=12 on my list. It is a Ruby nail polish again.

This time it is a lilac purple that I really love. The consistency was a little thin, but with two coats I got full coverage.  In these photos I’m wearing 1 coat Nail Envy, 2 coats Ruby nail polish, and Sally Hansen top coat.

The club is growing and we have lots of new members joining us. Judi and I decided it would be fun if we introduce one member every week, so that everyone knows about the others participating.

This week we are giving a shout out to Pegi from SuperLadySheba on Youtube. She was the first person to contact me about the club. At that point we didn’t even have a name decided yet!

I love Peg’s videos: she covers thrift hauls, reviews and lots of perfume reviews. She is quite a perfume expert! Also she keeps her videos pretty short, between 5 and 10 minutes, something that I really like. I’m linking below her NPL club video from last week, she wore the most amazing Illamasqua nail polish. Enjoy!

Let me know how your week was, did you try any fun nail polishes this week?

Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ 27 January 2013

Hi everyone!

It’s week three of the Nail Polish Lottery club. Can you believe how quick time has passed? Week 3 already!

This week’s NPL club number was 79. I don’t own 79 unused nail polishes so I used number 7+9=16 on my list. It’s a Ruby nail polish that does not have a name.
It came as part of a beautiful make up set from good friend, it was very sweet of her! I “ruined” my manicure a little this week, so there will be no close up pictures, just the video:

Thank you to everyone who is involved in the Nail Polish Lottery club in any way! Both me and Judi are overwhelmed by the positive feedback we got from all of you! Thank you and can’t wait to see your results every week!

Mail from Judi & Space NK haul

This is just a very quick post about a package I got in the mail from my friend Judi. She sent me some wonderful things that I will be using a lot.

If you are not subscribed to her channel already, it’s definitely worth checking out. She is the sweetest person on Youtube and my “make up dealer” from across the pond. Also, she has a great blog where she talks a lot about nail polish!

In my video, I’m also showing my Space NK Boxing Day haul. I went a little crazy with the spending, but I got some great bargains. You can still check their sale here, there are a few things left.

Enjoy watching and let me know how your week has been! Have you bought anything interesting lately?

Nail Polish Lottery Club ~ 13 January 2013

We had an amazing response for the Nail Polish Lottery Club – and now it’s time to post this week’s results!

A big Thank You to everyone who is participating and everyone who is supporting the club in any way!

The lucky number for this week is 151. As I don’t have 151 nail polishes, I’m wearing number 7 on my list: Color Club – Age of Aquarius.
This week’s number was really lucky for me. This polish is one I wanted to wear for a while, but I kept postponing it. It’s a beautiful green – my favorite color!

*New* Join the Nail Polish Lottery Club today!

It’s January again, that time of the year when we swear to start buying less and using our collections more!

What do you say to a fun new way to start using your nail polish collection? Maybe you have a few polishes that you never got around to actually wearing? I know I do!

What is the Nail Polish Lottery club, and how does it work?
Lovely Judi from http://middleagedbeautyqueen.wordpress.com and I came up with a great idea to put our collections to good use.

All you have to do is make a list of all the nail polish you never used, organize it in a spread sheet and assign a number to each polish.
Every week, on Mondays we will select a number from random.org and that will be the nail polish everyone in the club will have to wear that week! (Not the whole week, if you don’t want to).
Those of us in the club who have a blog or Youtube channel will post the results every Sunday.
For all the details on how it works please read the guidelines here.

The background story
Not so long ago, while re-organizing my nail polish collection I realized there are quite a few un-used bottles. Watch my video to see what I did next:

From there it didn’t take long until Judi contacted me. She does weekly videos and blog posts about a nail polish she never wore before. She thought why not combine the lottery and the weekly nail polish video, so here we are!

We are posting weekly draw results, photos, video and having lots of fun so join us there!

L’Oreal Infailible Eyeshadow Wear Test / Mail / NOTD

If you watch my videos, you probably heard many times how much I like my L’Oreal Infailible eyeshadow, especially the permanent kakhi one.

It is just so convenient to wear for work!

So here is a little video with me testing the eyeshadow wear for 11 hours. (In a typical work day I leave the house at 8am and get back at 7pm).

The second part of the video shows you a nice little package I received from my friend Judi. Please make sure you visit her video channel and blog. She is the ONE nail expert to watch!

One of the things Judi sent is Revlon After Party, so why not have my first NOTD on the blog?
