Boots Clearance / Weekend Trip
This weekend I went to Italy for a short break (three days) with my boyfriend.
We left London at 6:30 AM, on Saturday morning and we got back at 11:30 PM on Monday night.
We had only hand luggage with us, so this time I had to really bring down the number of make up and skin care items. (See here what I packed last time for 4 days).
I already had in my mind a virtual list of what to take, including my Naked Palette and some skin care samples.
But on Friday, in my lunch break at Boots I see these on clearance:
I bought all of these for 6£:
- No7 Age Defence Cleansing Balm (30 ml)
- No7 Time Resisting Day cream (15ml)
- No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum (5ml)
- No7 (for men) Protect & Perfect Moisturising Eye cream (3ml)
- No7 extreme length mascara (4.5 ml)
- No7 Smoky Rose Quad
- No7 High Shine lip gloss in Smile (8ml)
- No7 40 Khaki Stay Perfect shadow (1.5 g)
Additionally I brought with me:
- Eco tools blush brush
- MAC 217 brush: As you know this is my essential eye brush
- E.l.f Bamboo Blending Eye Brush
- Laura Mercier cheek brush and Laura Mercier double ended brush: These came with a set I bought, they are really useful for traveling!
- Shu Uemura Natural 18 foundation brush
- Sleek blush in pixie pin
- Clinique Even Better make up foundation: I get along really well with this foundation lately, and it is very easy to blend.
- Benefit high beam: I have the small one, and thought it wouldn’t hurt to have it with me!
- Benefit Erase Paste and Clinique Airbrush concealer: the erase paste is a bit too dark for me, so I use it as a “base” to cover the dark circles than I brighten the area with the airbrush concealer
- One black eye liner pencil (Laura Mercier) and one white pencil (2True)
- Revlon ColorStay 12Hour Eye Shadow in 05 Blushed Wines: I don’t really like this palette, but I brought it for extra options.
It might seem a lot but I fitted all the brushes and make up compacts into the pouch neatly. The skin care items and foundation went to a standard airport clear bag. The final result was something like this:
And that was it!
For three days it was exactly what I needed, plus at the airport I got free samples of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum.
Finally, some images from Italy (sorry for the quality of some):
PS: I’ve been good and I didn’t shop too much!
How was your weekend?
How lucky are you? You live in London and get to go to Italy for the week end! That’s a fabulous life! 🙂

One of the advantages of living in London is that I have easy flight connections for all over the world, and fast & cheap tickets to Europe. Those who live on continental Europe have it even better, because they drive around all of Europe really easy.
| Posted 11 years, 11 months agoBut of course for all of this we still need funds, so we don’t do it as often as you’d think 🙂
There are other sides of life in London that are not so nice, but I still love being here.
Thanks for commenting Judi!
I ❤ your red trench coat! 🙂
